Porn Valley- I met Chloe Morgan from LA Direct Models on the set of Sinsations 2 last week. The movie is part of a new softcore porn series being produced by Dusk Till dawn Entertainment. Morgan states that she's been in the business "one month and a week."
Morgan's so new you can still smell the upholstery. And she's a good friend of Steve Austin's which was her connection to the business. Also before coming in, Morgan's full time occupation was sitting at home and being lazy, she says. Morgan had also been a full time student looking to make a connection in the cosmetology field.
Morgan said, of course, the money factor had something to do with her decision to do porn.
"And I was doing mainstream modeling awhile ago and got tired of that- I wanted to try something new," says Morgan. "Derek and Steve said I could be successful here so I took their word for it." Morgan explains that she didn't want to travel as much and wanted to stay closer to home.
According to Morgan, she did some fashion and runway modeling.
"But I'm a little short for that," she says. "I'm only 5'8". That's considered short even though I don't." Hired sight unseen, Morgan's first time in front of the camera was a Vivid feature and she worked with Trent Tesoro and Shy Love.
"So I kind of got thrown in the big fish tank," she laughs. "Definitely, I was a little nervous and I cried for the first half hour."
"Was that before or after the scene?" I ask Morgan.
"It was before the scene," she says. "After the scene I was fine- this is cake. Shy made it very easy for me to be comfortable. It took me a little while to relax. I'm still very nervous in front of the camera."
Morgan describes herself as a very reserved person.
"Up until a month and a half ago, I always wore a T-shirt when I was having sex," she laughs. "Now I'm, like, when can I take it off? It was lights off, T-shirt, the blinds closed during the day- please, don't look at me."
"You know it's even better when you wear pants," Morgan is told.
"If I could have gotten away with wearing pants I would have worn them," Morgan says, noting that the first time she ever had sex was in the backseat of a car.
It's the greatest way to lose your virginity, Morgan is told.
"No, it's the worst way!" she exclaims. "I think back now, and I'm I can't believe I did that. It was a boyfriend. He was driving- I wasn't old enough to drive and he was, like, let's do this right now. I'm like no way! You're kidding. I can't. I didn't want my first time to be in back of a car. And he's like, c'mon, what's the matter? So I let him convince me but I really didn't want to."
"It takes some convincing because you're in the front seat and you have to move to the back seat. It takes some effort to do this."
"Exactly," replies Morgan.
Morgan is asked if she was wearing a T-shirt at the time.
"Yes," she remembers. "I didn't take any of my clothes off except for my underwear- I was wearing a skirt. I was fully clothed so it was even worse."
"So did you hate yourself after it happened?"
"I hated HIM after it happened," Morgan says. "I didn't do it again for another six months. I was, like, no, never again. I just didn't think it was the perfect place. Then the next time it was after the prom so it was a little bit better."
"Did you keep your prom dress on?"
"No," says Morgan. "We went all out this time- very romantic. The whole scenario."
"So it is fair to say that you've had sex, naked, prior to being in the business?"
"I don't know about nude," Morgan answers. "I was wearing little things that covered some what. I was very shy." Morgan notes the fact that her father's very strict while her mother's more liberal.
"But they don't live together so it depended on which house I was at," she says. Morgan's mother knows she's in the business while her father doesn't.
"I'm afraid that it would give him a heart attack," she laughs. Morgan's mother was mad and angry when she first learned her daughter's new occupation.
"I kind of showed her a couple of things that I had done," Morgan says. "She's like, it really isn't that bad. She said as long as you keep a business head on about you, you'll be fine. And don't develop any bad habits."
Asked how she made the acquaintance of Steve Austin, Morgan says Austin played on a baseball team that her ex-boyfriend did at the time.
"He kept hinting that he wanted me to try out- I kept saying no because I was dating somebody," Morgan says. "He was doing a POV line and he's like do you want to try it to see if you can do this? I tried it. Then I saw Derek and I started working the next day."
And not much has changed from when she was a quiet, reserved kid, says Morgan.
"I'm still like that- people are amazed when I say I do porn."
Morgan was also a good student, and I asked her at one point did she go wrong.
"I ended a two year relationship when I started," she points out. "I wanted to start fresh and do something fully new and something I had never done before. I thought, why not. Be an exhibitionist for once. And I love the industry. I enjoy being here and hope to be successful."
Asked if she ever watched any porn, Morgan swears adamantly that she was anti-porn.
"If my ex ever watched it, I would scream, no!" says Morgan. "I'd have a heart attack and be furious because I thought it was a horrible, disgusting depiction of women. Now I think of it totally different." What changed Morgan's mind was the fact that she got to know some of the girls in the business and talked to them before she made her decision.
"It's not such a bad thing," Morgan says. "It's not the taboo that people see it as. I like it- it's totally different once you're in the middle of it rather than looking at it from the outside."
"Did you ever do that POV with Steve Austin?"
"I ended up doing that POV with Steve Austin," Morgan comments sheepishly.
"He's very cunning that way- he lures you in."
"He definitely lured me in," Morgan laughs. "He's, like, you're going to do a POV for me. I'm, no I'm not."
Morgan also states that her first impression of LA Direct was the fact she was terrified of Derek.
"Most people are terrified," she says. "The night that I came to meet him, previous to me walking in, he had told two girls no way, get out. I was, great. He's not going to like me. It's not going to happen and I was very nervous. But I was very surprised because it was the exact opposite. Within three minutes of being there, he's like, okay- you want to work tomorrow? So it was a good thing. I'm glad he liked me."
Morgan says she saw the two girls walk out of Derek's office and they weren't happy.
"In your mind were they attractive women?"
"One of them was a very pretty girl," says Morgan. "The other was pretty but she came in her slippers. Derek said show up in your slippers and it's not happening."
"Were you slutted out?"
"No," says Morgan. "Actually, I was wearing very modest black pants; a black lace T-shirt and I was wearing a jean jacket. I was completely covered and he didn't ask me to get naked which shocked me."
"You know he has X-ray vision which is what it is," Morgan's told. "He can see right through you."
Morgan heard later that Derek was impressed and didn't need to see her naked.
Among her don'ts, Morgan doesn't do interracial and she doesn't do anal.
"And I never get beat up," she adds. "I don't want people hitting me, or sock me, slap me, choke me and pull my hair."
"Unless you're wearing a T-shirt."
"Unless I'm wearing a T-shirt," Morgan agrees. "Then it's a fair game."
But it's also fair to say that Morgan's going to stand pretty rigid about her nos. She has done anal in her personal life and a few times recently to see if she can do it.
"I think that's something that I would totally enjoy," she says. "In my personal life that would be okay but not ever on camera. It has to be a gentle thing and I've seen girls get hurt like that and I don't want that happen to me."
Morgan also notes that not only is this the first time she's on a softcore shoot, but she's never seen an example of one. She says that Derek told her Robert Lombard was looking for a younger girl that was new in the industry.
"And I was out of town when he was casting this," Morgan explains. "So I was sent a week and a half before to his [Lombard's] office and we talked for a little while and he took some pictures; he e-mailed Derek an hour later and said she's perfect. I hear that it's very rare, that a lot of girls are around for awhile before they even get sent in this direction."
If given her druthers, Morgan would rather not do gonzo work.
"So far I've been working for more laid back companies," she says. "Nothing really aggressive- nothing in a motel room somewhere. I've been very lucky."
