Porn Valley- Gia Jordan, www.giajordan.com , was a guest of The Sports Swami this past Friday. Jordan, who's withL.A. Direct Models, www.ladirectmodels.com , was talking about how she did her homework prior to getting into the industry and would contact different companies. "That's what got me into it anyway- I was a huge porn fan for a really long time."

Jordan's opinion was that the girls were lucky to be porn stars and she wished she could do that. "There are certain companies that I really like, and I'm happy when they hire me," she said. "And there's always new companies coming up and I'm always researching the business and meeting new people," she explained.

Jordan said she'll work with those companies just as long as they're putting out good product. Asked what her preferences were, hardcore vs. pretty girl cable productions with dialogue, Jordan said all she wants to do is a good scene.

"I want to be beautiful and do a good scene- that's all I want. I like both as long as it's good." Jordan said she loves feature films and thinks she's a pretty good actress. "I love doing dialogue. But I've been in hardcore stuff that's shot very well and very, pretty too. I believe you can go balls-out and be totally hardcore and just be out for blood and totally get ravaged and it's still good product." Swami said he's seen Jordan in a few scenes where she's so tally into it, he wondered whether she intimidates her fellow performers. Jordan said she met a fan during a show and was asked if she was okay. "What do you mean?" According to Jordan, the guy was of the opinion that Jordan should call the battered women's shelter.

"I don't think guys get intimidated," she went on to say. "I like kissing a lot in my movies- even the really super hardcore-stuff. I love kissing. It totally turns me on. I think as a viewer to see that in a movie- especially in hardcore stuff where it's unexpected- it's hot. It makes it look real and it is real. I want to do it." To that extent, Jordan was quick to concede that guys might back off because they aren't used to that kind of behavior in porn.

"Usually when you kiss somebody it usually has passion behind it," Swami pointed out to Jordan. Jordan agreed and Swami asked how she turns it on and off especially when she's working with idiots. His words. Jordan said she'll come to some kind of conclusion about halfway through the scene if it's her first time working with a guy. "For the most part I've hand picked these guys myself. And I'm really happy with everybody I've worked with."

Jordan said most of the male porn talent are really not guys she'd date in real life. "But they're attractive- well some of them may not be attractive- there's just something about them I like. There has to be something about somebody that draws me to wanting to be with them. The cool thing about porn is that it's not like real life. In real life you've got to be pickier because you have to date the person and meet the family. In porn you can go for the weirdest things."

What porn has taught her, says Jordan, is how not to be so shallow. "Porn has taught me to go beyond looks. There's some guys I work with- it's a chemistry thing based on personality." Asked what that chemistry might be, Jordan said age range from 18 to the late 30's starts it. Swami assumed that eliminated Ron Jeremy and Dave Cummings. Jordan said the guy would also have to have a good sense of humor.

"You know how some guys look like they like to fuck? And they do it well? They just have to have that. I don't know." Jordan says she just likes the way certain guys move.

"Like Michael Steffano. He deserved that male performer of the year award hands down. No questions asked. Looks wise, he's a very good looking guy. He's not my type but he's very good looking. It's just the way he moves that made me go I want to work with him." Jordan says Steffano is a "really, really cool guy".

"Personality says so much," she continues. Swami's romance rumor had Jordan paired up with L.A. Laker Lamar Odom. Jordan says she's not dating anyone. "There's someone I like but we're not dating," she says. "I don't know if he knows that I like him. He's not in the adult industry at all." Swami tried to make a case for it being the fact he's not in the industry and is perhaps intimidated by Jordan being a porn star. "I'm a chick- my job's just to look hot and have a good time," she replied. "My job's not to like put out signs and give guys a clue. Either a guy likes me or he doesn't." Swami argued that men don't read signs. "We're not baseball players."

Jordan's rationale is that if a guy tries to initiate something and she's not for it, there's a sign. Regarding her site, Jordan says it's a cross between a reality show and a really expensive coffee table book. "It's truly an A-list site," she said. "I think it's so pretty; everybody has to go to it." While the site is free right now, Jordan said she's in the process of loading video clips, and once that's done, it'll be a pay enterprise. "It's free for now- take advantage while you can, guys."

It was pointed out that Jordan and Vicky Vette did a wild scene together. "It was for our cam show," said Jordan. "It's going to be on both of our sites. And we did a strap-on video, too."

Asked how she keeps her slate clean of porn drama, Jordan said, "Some people might say I'm too self-centered to be causing drama with other people. Maybe it's part of the secret. I just want to be pretty and do good scenes. That's all my main focus is." Jordan's neither into drugs or alcohol. "I never really have been." Jordan laughs about having had an addiction at one time. "It's called shopping. But I think we're over it now."

Swami brought up the raging Guy Capo debate about porn performers not directing, noting that Jordan is looking at doing that. "Other people in mainstream do it all the time," said Jordan assessing her capabilities as a future director.

Jordan also talked about her joining L.A. Direct Models, noting that she hadn't been with an agent for the longest time. "Then, again, I wasn't trying to be a heavy hitter on the porn scene," she said. "I was just making movies for Elegant Angel and coming out to Los Angeles like once a month from Vegas." It was then that Jordan decided she wanted to make more. "I'm thinking I might need an agent- an agent, basically, what they do is not that they just get you jobs, they're like your personal secretary. In this business part of getting the job is your job- riding around to all the different companies and reminding them of who you are all the time." Jordan's of the opinion that no matter how big you get, you still have to do that now and then. It's also Jordan's opinion that companies are more inclined to hire agency girls than independent ones.

"It insures that girls are going to be reliable." Jordan said she decided on L.A. Direct because performers like Taylor Rain and Ariana Jollee were with them. "They're two of my favorite performers. That was advertisement enough for me."

On a by chance set of circumstances, Jordan met Ben English. "I didn't know it was him- then we got to talking. It was pretty mutual and they signed me that day."

Asked how being in porn has changed her, Jordan said she's working out, now. "I never went to the gym before. Porn makes you spend a lot of time at the hair salon and the nail salon." Jordan says she has both a house and an apartment, and, after that, tries to save what she can. Jordan bought a house a year ago and is looking to buy another one. Money, says Jordan, is something that gives you options. "Whatever those options are, are up to you."

"I put money into being Gia Jordan. I never wear the same outfit twice," she goes on to say. Jordan also says she likes to put her money into things that last long. "Things that depreciate in value? Some dude can buy that for me. What do I care?"
