Porn Valley- Last time I conducted an interview in a shitter is when Ron Jeremy called me with toilets flushing in the background. A similar feat was accomplished when I spoke to both Taryn Thomas and her buddy Elektra last week when they were in the process of being made up for a photo shoot.
Both Thomas and Elektra have joined DK’s Royal King Entertainment agency, www.royalkingent.org. Elektra is brand new but Thomas has been around since August. Long enough to have been involved in some drama during a shoot in Hawaii and long enough to have changed her name. Thomas said she wasn’t comfortable with her former performing name which was Brin Rhodz.
“I started doing blow job scenes,” she tells me. “Maybe I did seven, then three girl-girls. Then I went to Hawaii for Roy Garcia.” I tell Thomas I had heard about the shoot, some Florida guy named Billy Lee, freaking out, copping an attitude and the whole episode being caught on tape. Thomas said she was in the middle of it. “Billy Lee did walk out,” she says. “Then they fired two girls because they took Ecstasy on the beach, and they couldn’t work. Billy Lee quit and refused to sign any papers for Roy Garcia. After Billy left, then whatshername, Goldie Cox left and some girl named Annabel left. They replaced them with me and Kylie Wild. We went out there. My name was Brin Rhodz at the time. But that was the only major thing I did under that name. Then I did my first boy-girl.”
“That Hawaii shoot was a disaster,” Thomas goes on to say. “But I lived through it. Then after that I did a girl-girl-boy; two five girl orgies and a girl-girl-boy blowjob scene. I also did those out there. Then I came back and shot for Bangbus then I broke my knee in half. After I was shooting for Bangbus I came back and voted in the Presidential election. After I walked out of the voting booth I broke my knee.”
Asked how she managed to accomplish that, Thomas said her house was directly across the street from the elementary school where she voted. “My mom and I decided to walk home and my stilettos caught the bottom of my jeans, and I fell on my face. But my knee is fully recovered and I’m fine.”
Thomas makes her home base in Arizona and is repped by an agent her handles her work around the rest of the country. She explains that DK handles her in Porn Valley. “I want to have everything so I can get my name out there quicker,” she states.
And Thomas has already worked for big name companies like New Sensations and Hustler. “And I signed at AVN this year,” she adds. According to Thomas, DK came highly recommended to her from Stoney Curtis. “And it’s worked out pretty well so far.” Prior to, Thomas was with Red Rose Productions.
“Let’s just say she thought I was a slave to her,” Thomas says of the owner. “They’re very nice- don’t get me wrong. But I was sick and my tonsils were swollen. She wouldn’t cancel my shoots even though my tonsils were the size of golfballs and I thought I was going to die. Another girl could get drunk with her and they’d cancel her shoot. But mine was really bad. I’ve had my share of bad experiences.”
So far, Thomas reserves anal for her personal life. “I’m not going to do it on camera,” she says. “But if I do it it’s going to be awhile down the road- not any time soon. I’m very particular about the things I do, right now at least. I want to take it slow and not get shot out.”
So far, Thomas is of the opinion that she wouldn’t trade her porn career for anything including a real estate license which she has just earned. Thomas remains content performing for the camera. “I do this because I like it- not just for money. I like sex.”
When she turned 18, Thomas shot some softcore nudes for an Internet company. “But I stopped because I had a boyfriend,” she explains. “Then last January I started shooting for them again. I did ten sets of photos and they were going to build a website for me.” Thomas says that plan didn’t exactly work out that way, so she posted her availability on the Internet and was discovered.
