Porn Valley- Although Taryn Thomas and Steven St. Croix made their KSEX debut Tuesday night, it was like listening to the synchronized songs, dances and snappy patter of a Vaudeville team that had been doing this for years. Thomas, who has a current gig in Arizona, flew into town specifically for the launch of their The Saint & The Sinner Show; and St. Croix, well, there were times, with the help of some tequila, when he channeled Jerry Lewis, but that's to be expected.
St. Croix excused his imbibing of the Mexican brew arguing that if he didn't drink it, the terrorists win.
"I will not have the terrorists take away my right to drink on air," he said. "This is just part of my battle against terrorism. The border patrol won't take me because I look too Spanish. And this is the way I join forces with democracy hand-in-hand."
The first half hour started particularly smart and sassy with the duo weighing in on the NCAA finals, the immigration issue and St. Croix making a half-hearted attempted to re-fry some controversy by mocking Dick Nasty for calling St. Croix a porn performer and not a porn star.
St. Croix wanted to know what was up with the immigrations laws. Thomas said there was a march planned for Arizona.
"I told my parents if I see them walking down my fucking freeway, they better hope I don't run...never mind," said Thomas who also went off about truant school kids walking on the 101 freeway which is dangerous as it is.
"Where are there parents?" asked Thomas. "This is ridiculous." St. Croix imagined the parents driving in the car pool lanes.
"If they want to be in our country so bad they should each have to pay $10,000 and start paying our motherfuckin' taxes," Thomas suggested. "This is a big subject that I'm not too happy with." It was St. Croix's contention that a lot of immigrants are paying state and federal taxes. Thomas wondered which immigrants were those.
"Are those the ones selling drugs, robbing our cars?" she asked. Thomas was of the belief that most were getting paid under the table.
"All I know is that I'm paying taxes for these people to live in our country, use our school systems and just shit on America all the time," she said, noting that she wasn't making this a race issue. "But it just so happens that the majority of people that are illegally coming into our United States right now are from Mexico." St. Croix pointed out that many assume jobs no one else would want to touch, that it was beneath them.
"How many are there doing that?" Thomas wanted to know. She was also of the opinion that the US has been funding them for so long, it might as well let everyone in. St. Croix was curious why it's so easy for immigrants to enter the country and so hard for English porn stars.
"They [the porn stars] have to jump through hoops to get back into the country," he said.
"Maybe we should all just start flying to Mexico and immigrate there," Thomas said. To solve the European porn star problem, Thomas suggested they should fly into Mexico and smuggle across the border. St, Croix basically described America as the land of freedom which makes a lot of money in cotton underwear.
On the Dick Nasty issue, St. Croix, playing some of the tape from Taylor Wane and Nasty's KSEX show the night before said he had never heard of Blue Iris. St. Croix allegedly turned down an offer to work with her and Nasty said a true porn star would take an assignment like that without question. But St. Croix wanted to know what guy comes into the industry wanting to fuck ugly or old chicks.
St. Croix then basically threw the whole issue out in the trash by saying he wish he could be Dick Nasty and travel anonymously among the porn community and not be recognized at parties or any other porn events.
St. Croix and Thomas' guests for the evening where Club Jenna contract girls McKenzie Lee last year's Best New Starlet; and Brea Bennett who was named America's Top Porn Star by virtue of a Playboy Channel competition. St. Croix admitted he never saw the show because he's too cheap to pay for cable. St. Croix also hoped the interviews with the two women would shed some light on what he called "the Disneyland in Arizona."
"If you've actually been to their [Jenna Jameson] house- and I haven't been to their new house- it's a huge house," said St. Croix. "Everything they do is big- the Christmas party they had this past year was huge; they had a lot of guests and it allows you to get out of your element."
Thomas mentioned that she lives in Arizona and moved there when she was 12. Thomas was born in New Jersey and St. Croix lived in Tucson for three months.
St. Croix also kept making goo-goo voices with Thomas flirting with her.
"You look absolutely stunning and you have this glow about you," St. Croix would say to Thomas in different variations throughout the evening.
"And I'm going to keep repeating this as I work with you." St. Croix also mentioned Thomas' lips.
"You have these young lips that are just so elastic and seem to move..." Finishing his thought, Thomas said they were good for sucking cock. St. Croix described Thomas as spunky and Thomas asked if he could handle it. Noting that Thomas was assiduously applying makeup for basically a radio appearance, St. Croix cracked wise about porn stars being self-conscious and working out their issues by being fucked in the ass. However he clarified by saying he never took it in the ass and Thomas kidded him about going Kurt Lockwood on her.
"That was a reference I didn't expect so soon," replied St. Croix. While Thomas said she liked Kurt, St. Croix wondered if his name was Kurt or Kirk. St. Croix suspects that Lockwood doesn't like him because St. Croix has called him Kirk on occasions.
