Porn Valley - I recently had a chat with the very sweet Yasmine Vega. Yasmine's been in the adult industry for about two years during which she's done girl-girl scenes and worked exclusively with her husband Vincent Vega. After much consideration and discussion Yasmine's finally decided to do boy/girl with other male performers, feeling that it's time to advance her career and mark her place in the industry.

Two years ago Yasmine, who was working for a West L.A. law firm at the time, and her husband went to Erotica L.A. "It was a good feeling seeing all those porn stars- this was something I wanted to do," she says. "But I never thought it would be the way it is now. To be honest, all I was going to do was girl-girl and not work with my husband." Yasmine's introduction to L.A. Models was through an ad in Private Dancer magazine put in there Ben English. "Their ad said we're looking for moels interested in nude modeling. I thought I'd give them a call. Nude modeling turned out to be video work and it's been great since. Ben English is a really great guy. He's a good agent. He' all business and that's what I love about him. He knows what he's doing.
"It's funny," Vega goes on to say. "He [English] says I'm the only girl he got through that ad. The rest of the girls they got through word-of-mouth. But I'm the only one who called the ad. I met with his girlfriend Hannah Harper. He was out of the country in England. Later he met me and I was immediately booked for a scene. I said, look, I don't know how this is going to work out, but let's give it a try. And the first scene tuned out pretty freakin' hot. Okay! It was a blow job scene. Then I got booked for a video called School of Hard Knockers."
Because she was working with her husband, Yasmine says the work wasn't coming in as fast. "I guess a lot of companies have their own guys- the guys they want to work with. They wanted me to work with other guys and I wasn't ready for it until just a couple of days ago. When I called him [English] he really sounded surprise, that I was doing boy-girl now."
Yasmine quit her law job in January after seven years with the company. "It was a job that required me being there 9 to 5, Monday to Friday" she says. "So the only time we could shoot was on the weekends." I asked if anyone at work found out what she was doing on the side. "Oh yes," she replied. "I told my boss. The only reason I told him was because I didn't want anything coming up later like I overheard, or I saw something. I didn't want to put the company in any type of jeopardy. He was pretty good about it. He said if this is what you want to do, more power to you. Just don't quit, don't leave. Do it on the side. I did that for two years."
It wasn't so much that Yasmie was a porn fan as much as an exhibitionist. "We belong to a couple of nudist clubs and stuff like that," she offers. "And I've always been real comfortable with my body. I just never thought I'd be this comfortable. I never thought I would be this comfortable in front of a camera but, as it turned out, I did."
Vega, who just turned 28, says she comes from a very strict family. "My parents are Latino. I wasn't even allowed to move out of my house. I moved out when I was maybe, 23, 24. They were, like, you're not moving out and I wanted to get the hell out of there and do my thing. But I think I'm letting loose now for all the years I was kind of locked up!"
Vega didn't have sex until she was at least 19. "I made him [her boyfriend] wait." Vega concedes that what she's doing now is far removed from the first time she tried having sex. "Then you don't know what you're doing. It's a humongous difference. When you're young, you think you know what you're doing. Oh, yeah, I fucked really good, but you really didn't."
Several years later Vega had sex with a close girlfriend. "I had a best friend. It's weird. It kind of always happens like that - from what I've heard from a lot of my girlfriends. It happens that you end up sleeping with your best friend. That's exactly how it happened. We went out. We had a good time. We thought we were going to go home with somebody, and nobody went home with us. We're like, okay, let's sleep with each other and that's how it turned out. We don't talk about it now. She's kind of embarrassed about it. I try to talk about it - remember? She's, like, no, I don't want to remember it."
Vega said she'll bring girls home and her husband will either watch or videotape. "He might join in a little bit but it's all about me having fun. He's fine watching us. He knows- and I've made it very clear- that we're taking this girl home but it's because I want to be with her. That's how it's always worked out."
Yasmine states that she's in the business for the long term. "A woman can't make videos forever- that's obvious. But I want to do it for as long as I possibly can and get my website up and going. Then we'll see whatever options are available. I think with me deciding on working with other guys, it's going to open up some doors for me. I'm hoping that it works out. I want to make a career out of it. I want to make some money. I want people to know who I am. I like this. I like the lifestyle. I wouldn't trade it for anything."
Vega says her website launched about two weeks ago around the time of Adultcon. "I was actually on the cover of their calendar. I went over there but it wasn't a good turnout. I don't understand, but I went and had my own table and signed autographs."
Creating a fan base following was another of Vega's reason for working with other guys. "They're going to say, hey, wait a minute. We want to see her working with different guys. That's how men are," she concludes. "We don't want to see her being fucked by the same guy over and over again." As you might expect, Vega also wants to make money off her website. "I'm working really hard on it," she says. "I'm shooting at least once a week- just content, because you need so much content. It's up and running right now but it's not a pay site, yet. But I'm hoping for that."
Vega doesn't do anal though she's tried it in her private life. "But it's just not happening!" she laughs. "I want to because it's something my husband wants. I swear to you. I try so hard but I just can't. Everybody tells me you gotta relax. You gotta relax. How could you? They're trying to put something in my ass and it's exit only. Seriously. I can't. But I swear I'm going to keep trying.
Vega's tried fingers and toys. "But it' not the same. You want the whole thing in there. And that's when you can really say oh I do anal - when you take it like a big girl!
Working generally with her husband until now, it's assumed that Vega doesn't have the day-to-day on the set drama of a porn star. "I don't have the crazy stories. But a couple of months from now I'll have them," she predicts.
