Van Nuys, Calif – Veteran adult talent manager, DAVID FOREST, who recently sold his company and announced his departure from XXX (after 27 years), is returning to the mainstream show business world. 40 years ago, in the summer of 1968, Forest began as a rock agent/manager/promoter … but, moved into the adult business in 1981.
FOREST, who will turn 60 on December 12, has opened FORESTCasting … a service for mainstream motion picture, television and internet companies who have a specific project that requires frontal nudity and/or simulated gay sex. FOREST will assist the producers/directors/casting people to find the male actor(s) they need for the role(s). Forest says, “the sources for male talent, who will want to audition for the specific parts available, will be vast. Most fellows, currently doing gay XXX work, simply dream about being in a mainstream motion picture, TV show or internet project.”

AND, with the increasing number of movies, TV shows, etc. adding GAY SEX into their scripts/plots (to increase sales) … and … with frontal nudity and/or simulated gay sex being almost “taboo” for the normal union actors … FOREST feels his service will be widely used. He will turn to the hundreds of guys doing gay movies/internet when he has a casting assignment from a mainstream company. The actors must be willing to work under their REAL NAME. Doing mainstream roles is permitted under the terms of most studios’ “exclusive model” agreements.
Last week, for its debut, FORESTCasting handled the booking of 2 popular gay stars for a mainstream motion picture that had a scene featuring gay guys partying in a hotel room. Frontal nudity and simulated sex were required of 2 guys (the ones Forest cast). Both were non-union …. but, due to the Taft Hartley Act, a non-union actor can be hired 1 time (for a union project) … then, becomes eligible for union status the next time he works.” The company, itself, cast 2 others that were SAG actors … neither of which did nudity or any of the simulated sex.
FOREST claims & stresses, “I’ll only be doing casting for NON-ADULT / MAINSTREAM productions. I will be working FOR and paid for BY the movie, television and/or internet companies. I won’t be representing the talent. In essence, I will represent the mainstream company in my casting efforts. I am no longer in the adult entertainment business and will NOT in any way compete with the folks that bought my former company.
