David Forest starts his entrepreneurial skills his first year at Stanford University (1966) where he became the social chairman of his dorm putting together parties and booking the bands for these functions, albeit resulting in the birth of David’s own talent management company.
Following this genesis, David went on to manage some of the music industry’s most popular artists such as Stevie Nicks, Lindsey Buckingham, Mickey Thomas, Elvin Bishop, 80′s hard rock sensation Quiet Riot (with Kevin DuBrow & Randy Rhodes, both now deceased), Detective, Shaun Cassidy and actor Corbin Bernsen (LA Law’s Arnie Becker). In 1981 and 14 years of talent management experience behind him David became the Go-To-Guy for the gay adult entertainment industry.
In the early days David managed the careers of porn stars such as Jeremy Scott, Leo Ford, Tim Kramer and Lance. Forest handled Ryan Idol, Ken Ryker, Marco Rossi, Scott Baldwin, Adam Hart, Kevin Williams and Tom Katt.
David continued to flourish into the new millennium with the addition of Billy Herrington, Jeff Palmer, Billy Brandt, Eric Hanson, Jeremy Tucker, Chad Donovan, Caesar, Chris Steele and Shane Rollins. More recently, Forest has managed superstars such as Mark Dalton, Jason Ridge, Rod Barry, Zeb Atlas, Johnny Castle ,Tony Capucci and Jason Adonis. Many readers of the JC Adam’s interviews have expressed interest in learning more details of the secrets beheld by David. Namely readers want the skinny on the living celebrities and not the dead ones. David wanting to retain the “best parts” for his future book gave us these cryptic remarks to “spike the punch” so to speak.
“The celebrity buyers were obviously very nervous about this. They would maybe have a friend call me first. They’d make up names and, of course, I’d find out who it was. I’d find out because the boys would tell me about it later. That’s how it happened several times with the “2nd boy” that would go to a certain client’s home. Usually, the 2nd boy would end up getting me the “2nd client” as a new customer.
"Rocky, rest his sole, was the 2nd boy sent to Malibu one night … and, Calvin Klein was so impressed with Rocky that he signed up for my “yearly program.” Speaking of Calvin, I think it’s funny how they wrote about his new “hottie” being a kid who had done some xxx stuff. That “kid” is surely not the type that Calvin would usually want from me. But, I guess his date for a function is one thing … his date for bed is another.“
“The 2nd boy sent to that same certain client’s “in town” home came back to tell me that “his” man was very famous. More famous now that he’s going back to do round 2 in Sacramento.“
“I thought it was kind of “neat” when a hot, non-escort/non-porn/non client, friend of mine (aspiring actor, loved my concerts and nightclub shows … now grown up and about to have his 1st big big movie success …. writer/director of “Burlesque”) called me to have a boy “sent” to a friend of his (he didn’t pay for the boy … he was just the casting gal).
