Palo Alto, Calif. - from www.dmwmedia.com - Facebook has filed suit against adult website operator and Penthouse publisher FriendFinder Networks, alleging trademark infringement over the company's FaceBookOfSex.com website, PaidContent reports.
The site offers many of the same features as Facebook, but encourages users to upload pornographic content.
The lawsuit seeks the transfer or cancellation of a number of related domain names, as well as $100,000 in damages for each of the domains, and unspecified punitive damages.
The site also targets 100 'John Doe' defendants who are operating affiliate marketing websites that link up to FaceBookOfSex.com.
