Fox News has reported on a lawsuit filed against Renaud West and Adultcon by BBW performers Desiree Devine, Subrina Love, Chocolate Nights, and Farrah Fox. The lawsuit was announced earlier this month.

Fox News Coverage and Related Legal Matters

Fox News has featured a video clip regarding the lawsuit involving Renaud West and Adultcon. This coverage comes as Fox News itself has been involved in several legal proceedings. In April 2023, Fox News settled a defamation lawsuit with Dominion Voting Systems for $787.5 million. Dominion Voting Systems had sought $1.6 billion, alleging that Fox repeatedly broadcast claims that the company's voting machines were rigged against Donald Trump in 2020, despite knowing these accusations were false. Fox maintained it was reporting newsworthy charges made by supporters of the Republican president and that its actions were legally supported by libel standards. The settlement was announced by the judge in the case just as opening arguments were scheduled to begin.

Separately, a lawsuit against Fox News brought by a fired journalist, Jason Donner, was dismissed. Donner had accused the network of violating sick leave law and targeting him for his political views. U.S. District Judge Amir Ali ruled in Fox’s favor on the sick leave claim, the last remaining issue in the lawsuit. Donner was fired in 2022, accused of failing to provide proper notice for a sick day and having a contentious phone conversation with his boss about it. The judge stated that Donner’s conduct was not protected by the District of Columbia’s sick leave law, noting Fox’s requirement for an ill employee to contact a supervisor as soon as possible, and no later than two hours after a start time. Earlier in the litigation, Donner had also claimed his firing was part of a "purge" of employees who re-evaluated their political views.

Additional Fox News Reporting

Beyond the adult industry lawsuit, Fox News has also reported on allegations against a transgender athlete in West Virginia. This individual, a plaintiff in a case being reviewed by the U.S. Supreme Court, has been accused of sexually harassing a former female teammate and using intimidation tactics against a female opponent. The Supreme Court is set to review cases challenging state laws in Idaho and West Virginia that banned biological males from women’s and girls’ sports, with oral arguments scheduled for January 13. In November, 130 congressional Democrats signed an amicus brief supporting two transgender athletes who are plaintiffs in these lawsuits. Fox News Digital reported on these allegations and reached out to the offices of some Democrats who signed the brief, asking if they still stand by their signatures. Fox News Digital has not received any responses. Emily Compagno, on "Outnumbered," discussed the situation, stating that "These girls have been 'erased,' ignored."

Top Democrat lawmakers who signed the amicus brief include Sen. Tammy Baldwin, Sen. Alex Padilla, Sen. Adam Schiff, Rep. Nancy Pelosi, Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, Rep. Ilhan Omar, Rep. Hakeem Jeffries, Sen. Elizabeth Warren, Rep. Pete Aguilar, and Rep. Jasmine Crockett. House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries, D-N.Y.; Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, D-N.Y.; Sen. Elizabeth Warren, D-Mass.; Rep. Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif.; Sen. Adam Schiff, D-Calif., and Rep. Jasmine Crockett are among those listed.
