For a movie shot in 1933, the print available of Boris Karloff in The Ghoul is in superb, pristine condition. Not so much Karloff who plays an Egyptologist on his death bed. He looks like hell in Lindsay Lohan’s handbag.

Karloff’s character has plundered the sacred, ancient crypts of Egypt and is in possession of a priceless amulet. On a dark and stormy night he vows to return from the grave, constructed to look like an Egyptian tomb. Boris intends to enjoy eternal life with the help of the god Anubis.
