Las Vegas- Lavo followed VH1’s lead and offered up a Double Shot of Lust Friday night as not one but two porn stars hosted soirees back to back.
Adult film superstar Tera Patrick got the evening started with an autograph signing for her fans. Eager men and a handful of ladies queued up for a meet and greet with the porn legend and a chance to pick up a copy of her film Tera Goes Gonzo.
The front cover of the DVD was innocent enough, the necessary body parts covered up with sparkling stars, but the back cover was a different story. My dinner guests realized this while holding the DVD up for closer inspection. Examining a covered up image of Tera on the front, they were showing off some hardcore pictures from the back to the rest of the diners at the Palazzo restaurant.
After dinner it was time for round two of the porn party double header.
Crowds of eager fans armed with cameras flocked the small red carpet outside the club to catch a glimpse of Southern-born porn star Stormy Daniels and her entourage, there to premier the trailer for her newest film, Operation: Tropical Stormy.
Several starlets joined Stormy for her celebration at Lavo, including AVN co-host Jenna Haze, Lela Star, Sophia Santi, Nikki Rhodes, Sophie Dee, Victoria Valentino, Lexxi Tyler and her MMA star boyfriend, Rob “Razor” McCullough. Director Luthor King and actor D Snoop, nominated at this year’s AVNs for best male newcomer, were also in attendance.
While the plethora of porn stars that have filled Las Vegas in the past week make for some interesting site seeing, for the actors, AVN is more business trip than vacation.
“I’ve been signing autographs at the Expo for seven hours each day, and then I have business dinners at night,” said bouncy porn starlet Jenna Haze. “I mean, it’s enjoyable to see all my fans, but I never get time to see all the cool stuff.”
Stormy Daniels gushed about her new film and how excited she was to debut its trailer at Lavo.
“Operation: Desert Stormy won Best Sex Comedy at last year’s awards and it was the most Wicked Pictures had ever spent on a film up until Operation: Tropical Stormy,” Daniels said. She hopes her newest flick will follow suit and take top honors when it is eligible at next year’s AVN awards.
Stormy, who has performed in mainstream hits like Pineapple Express, Knocked Up and The 40 Year Old Virgin, was a striking presence on the red carpet, towering over some of her shorter friends and stealing the spotlight in a bright lilac mini-dress. Somehow combining girl-next-door wholesomeness with the classic beauty of a Hollywood starlet, Daniels was simply beautiful. Not to mention that nice rack.
