Pink Visual to Highlight its Mobile Products at AEE

VAN NUYS, Calif. – When Pink Visual first launched its free mobile download site iPinkVisual.com in January 2008, there was some internal debate at the company about whether the site would catch on, according to Brand and Product Manager Kim Kysar.

“We knew we had created a very cool and very slick site for mobile users – but there has been a ton of hype about mobile porn over the years that never really panned out, so there were some among us who were a bit skeptical,” Kysar said.

Less than a year later, the performance of iPinkVisual.com and the subsequently launched pay site iPinkVisualPass.com have led that skepticism to be replaced by a new attitude towards the company’s mobile efforts: full speed ahead.

A product line that could have become an afterthought has now emerged as a centerpiece for the company, Kysar said, adding that Pink Visual staff members will be available at the upcoming Adult Entertainment Expo (AEE) to demo the company’s mobile products for consumers and potential business partners, and to provide interviews to media outlets.

“We’ve been blown away by the consumer response to iPinkVisual and iPinkVisualPass, and pleasantly surprised by the attention the mainstream media has given our mobile products,” Kysar said, referring to coverage of Pink Visual’s mobile sites by major media outlets like Time.com, CNBC and PCMag.com.

After launching iPinkVisual.com with a small selection of downloadable clips compatible with a wide range of mobile phones and handheld media devices, the company later launched iPinkVisualPass as a subscription version of the site, and added ringtones and wallpapers to the mix of materials available to mobile users.

Next up for Pink Visual was expanding its mobile presence to serve the gay market, as well. The company launched iMaleSpectrum.com and iMaleSpectrumPass.com in December, seeking to replicate the success of the Pink Visual-branded mobile sites under the Male Spectrum brand.

Kysar noted that Pink Visual is also working with its sister company, TopBucks.com, in order to expose its mobile sites to a wider audience.

“Our mobile sites are all available for promotion through TopBucks, including by using a new mobile redirect script that TopBucks recently added to their selection of webmaster tools,” Kysar said. “The redirect script allows webmasters to automatically refer visitors using mobile browsers to our mobile sites, which increases the likelihood of purchase by delivering these users to sites that are specifically optimized for their mobile and handheld devices.”
