Porn Valley- In his rookie season the New York press wrote up Jeremy Shockey like he was the second coming of Joe Willie Namath. In the night life stats department, that is. The thinking was Shockey was told to cool it, and so did the Giant last season. But with a 3-1 start this year including a 14-7 upset of Green Bay yesterday, the New Yorkers are about to send Brett Favre to a sequel of There's Something About Mary. And Favre has the concussion to lend him the acting credentials.

Meanwhile, the New England Patriots have tied the winning streak of the 1941-42 Chicago Bears, and I think it was that Bears team I was betting on all last year. Nonetheless, they stood up pretty well to the Eagles Sunday with Donovan McNabb offering the Joe Theisman quote of the day: "The positive thing is we put enough points on the board to win."

And I bet the Redskins are happy they got Joe Gibbs back with a 1-3 start. Weren't they 3-1 this time last year under Steve Spurrier?

Now watch the Ravens ruin it all with a loss to Kansas City tonight. That's the predictable upset but I didn't have the nerve to call it. Wankus, Shannon from Adult DVD Empire and Billy The Crystal are the brave ones, it should be noted. The sonofabitch pick next week is going to be Miami at New England. As much as Jay Fiedler sucks, you got to start playing the percentages and looking at New England to take a hit after winning 18 in a row.

Here's how this week's picks stack up so far. Chris R from KSEX, www.ksexradio.com remains in first place with a 42-17 overall record, but no thanks to a 7-6 record from Sunday. I move into sole possession of second place with a 10-3 record that gives me a season total of 40-19. But what was I thinking by picking Oakland over Houston? Harry Weiss takes over third place with a 39-20 mark. Harry went a respectable 8-5 record this week.

Tied for fourth are Sean from www.pornlegends.com and Shannon from www.adultdvdempire.com with 38-21 season marks. Both Sean and Shannon went 8-5 this week.

Porno Steve occupies fifth place with a 37-22 season mark and a 7-6 record this week. Steve from Las Vegas Novelties, www.lvni.com is in sixth with a 36-23 record. Steve also had a very respectable week with an 8-5 record.

Wankus, thanks to his astute pick of Miami and other charitable giveaways lands in seventh with a 35-24 season mark. Sports Swami and Tracey Adams share the eighth spot with 34-25 records. Swami went 7-6, whereas Adams must have been looking over Wankus' shoulder and came in with a 6-7 record.

And, mopping up the rear, is Billy The Crystal, the arbiter of the spirit world with a 32-27 record. Billy, though, was aptly in touch with a Houston pick over Oakland, but went 7-6 overall.
