Porn Valley- Recently on one his KSEX shows, director Guy Capo was talking about having a bunch of computers crashing on him. "My home PC had a virus that wiped me out," Capo related. "My editing system literally took a shit and died in my office. I had to call a coroner to come take this fucking Mac out of my house. This was all caused by a six second glitch in a video that I was working on for which I could have fixed with a 1978 reel-to-reel video editor. But in today's video age, the transfer of digital information remained tainted throughout my fix-it process, forcing me into further technical difficulties until I melted down everything and everybody that I tried to pull into this to help me rectify the problem."
Capo used that frustration-filled but humorous observation to spring into the subject of HD porn, noting that there was a lot of chatter about it. "Let me tell you something folks- let's get real for just a minute," said Capo. "I eat, sleep, live, breathe, fuck and will die in Porn Valley. We are no closer to HD porn than we are to shooting porn on the moon. There are so many technical aspects that have to be worked out before you get porn on DVD in true HD quality that will play on anything you have at home. We are so far from that paradigm. You can hold your breath and blow it up your own ass waiting. Let's let go of that concept altogether. I'm not sure that HD porn is what I really want to see."
To that Capo referred to an interview he did recently with Gazzman who's from Scotland. "You know the Gazz from shooting Belladonna's Fuck Me- his latest smash," Capo said. "Gazz says HD does not have a very negative effect on porn. I thought you were going to see every pimple, pockmark, blister, blemish, freckles- every little imperfection on the ass, legs, thighs and genitals of every performer in the Valley. But apparently it ain't that bad. Thank God. From my mouth to God's ears it ain't that bad. Because I got to tell you- being up close to some of it ain't so fuckin pretty all the time. There's days I wish we were still looking at this shit on second hand VHS, to be honest with you."
Capo called HD a "scam" and said the point he was making is a consideration of the volume that's coming out of Porn Valley and the budgets directors have to work with. "When you're talking about 11,000 movies a year coming out of Porn Valley, I'm busting my motherfucking hump and the humps of like six other people to fix a six-frame glitch in one of 11,000 releases," Capo laughed. "Do you see why Capo wants to kill people some time?"
