Porn Valley- AVN announced its 2007 awards nomination today, and Manhunters from Wicked Pictures topped all nominees with 24 including one for Best Film.
Meanwhile Ninn Worx’ Sacred Sin, co-produced by Eddie Van Halen, received 18 nominations, including one for Best Video Feature. While Corruption, the highly touted picture from Sex Z Pictures, received 16 nominations and was also nominated in the Best Video Feature category.
Vivid’s big budget movie Emperor also received 18 nominations including one for Best Film.
This year’s number of categories also increased by 15, jumping to 119. Among the new categories included are Contract Performer of the Year and Most Valuable Starlet. Another debut category is Director of the year, honoring body of work.
Nominees in the Contract Performer of the Year category include, Joanna Angel representing Hustler; Briana Banks for Vivid; Ashley Blue for JM Productions; Mary Carey for Legend; Courtney Cummz for Zero Tolerance Entertainment; Stormy Daniels for Wicked; Jessica Drake for Wicked; Hannah Harper for Sin City; Audrey Hollander for Mach 2 Entertainment; Jesse Jane for Digital Playground; McKenzie Lee for Club Jenna; Carmen Luvana for Adam & Eve; Tera Patrick for Teravision/Vivid; Tegan Presley for Digital and Savanna Samson for Vivid.
Included in the Most Valuable Starlet category are Monique Alexander, Nikki Benz, Annie Cruz, Daisy, Alana Evans, Jassie, Katja Kassin, Sophia, Charmane Star, Delilah Strong, Mika Tan and Tyla Wynn.
Other new categories include Best Hard-Edged All-Sex Release, Best POV Sex Scene, and Best Asian, Black, Latin and Interracial Series.
Nominees in the Best New Starlet category include Alektra Blue, Sasha Grey, Lacie Heart, Gianna Lynn, Candy Manson, Riley Mason, Michelle Maylene, Stefani Morgan, Naomi, Jenna Presley, Kirsten Price, Amy Reid, Ava Rose, Mia Rose, Charlotte Stokely.
In the Best Male Newcomer category, the nominees included Jean Baptiste, Jenny, Jerry, Derrick Pierce and Tommy Pistol
Nominees in the Male Performer of the Year category are Mark Ashley, Marco Banderas, James Deen, Shane Diesel, Erik Everhard, Manuel Ferrara, Tommy Gunn, Kurt Lockwood, Scott Nails, Justin Slayer, Lexington Steele, Michael Stefano, Evan Stone, John Strong and Tony T.
