Mike Hill writes Gene,
Just clear up one thing. The patient had her blood taken at AIM on June 4. It was sent to the lab that day. The next day her tests was PENDING. AIM did not get their result on this specimen until Sat. June,6.
Usually AIM gets their results the next day. But the laboratory is required by law to rerun and confirm any positive specimen before reporting it to the clinic that ordered the test.
The producer on the Friday shoot "claims' he called AIM and they told him the test was negative. That is false.
The patient was told, in person, at the AIM clinic on Saturday afternoon that she was HIV positive, at which time additional specimens were taken to once again do further confirmatory tests, as is standard procedure for ANY potential HIV infection.
The specimen was taken from the patient on JUNE 4. The result was received by AIM on JUNE 6.
This producer is doing everything he can to deflect the blame onto AIM, including the false rumor that AIM told him the performer was cleared to work. Neither the producer or the performer were ever told the test was negative. This guy knows he is in deep shit and is doing everything he can to cover his ass.
