Josh Hunter writes: Gene, could you post this for me? There are a lot of people helping Nicki and I through this tough time that I think everyone should know about.
Ever since Nicki got sick, the outpouring of love from our friends in this community has been endless. But, while much of this support has been the kind of thing that makes the news, many people have been there for Nicki and I day in and out without any kind of recognition.
These people have made no efforts to make their actions known, and that's pretty much why I feel they should be noticed. I know you have other stuff to do, and we aren't the center of the universe, so I'm just going to give you a list of names.
From taking the kids for the day so I could work while Nicki was in the hospital, to cooking dinner for us, these people have done whatever it takes to keep us going. If you want to do something nice for Nicki or I, do something nice for these people.
