Missouri – from www.kansascity.com – Lelli McCarty, the first Miss Kansas ever crowned Miss USA who now works as a porn star, is auctioning off the gown she wore when she won the national crown to help the victims of the Joplin tornado.
Kelli won Miss USA in 1991 while she was a student at Wichita State University. The pageant, hosted by Dick Clark, was held in Wichita that year and Kelli became only the third winner to be crowned Miss USA in her home state.
She made news a couple of years ago when she left soap operas — she appeared on the now-defunct soap “Passions” — and became an adult film actress.
TMZ says that news of the tornado struck close to home for Kelli, who was born in Liberal.
“If it can help someone rebuild their house, then it’s worth it,” she told TMZ.
Kelli, whose personal website contains “thousands of nude images of me from softcore to hardcore,” plans to donate all the proceeds to the Salvation Army in Joplin.
Late Saturday night, there were no bids on the Bob Mackie-designed dress on eBay. Bidding begins at $5,000. The auction ends Tuesday.
