Cincinnati- Not only did obscenity prosecutor Mike Allen have an affair with a woman in his law office, he's getting sued by the woman for sexual harassment and now the arrogant cocksucker wants Hamilton County to foot his legal bills.
Cincinnati- The ex-husband of Hamilton County Assistant Prosecutor Rebecca Collins last week asked for a public apology from Prosecutor Mike Allen, who admitted to having a four-year affair with Collins.
Eric LeCount, 34, said that he and his 5-year-old daughter are victims of the affair and the recent media coverage of a federal lawsuit and sexual harassment complaint filed by Collins against Allen.
"Unlike everyone else involved, my daughter and I are not used to living in the public spotlight," said LeCount, a Covington ironworker. "We did not ask to become a part of this mess, but we are the ones who are experiencing the fallout."
LeCount held a press conference at the Mount Auburn law offices of Mezibov & Jenkins, which he has retained as counsel. He spoke from prepared remarks and did not take questions afterward.
LeCount said Allen's wife, Hamilton County Municipal Judge Lisa Allen, was wrong when she told the media on Tuesday that she and her two children were the only victims in the ordeal.
LeCount also corroborated his ex-wife's allegations that the affair was not consensual and that Allen used his position as her boss to influence their relationship. He said he heard phone messages Allen left for Collins in which he demanded she call him.
"I recall one message where Mr. Allen said something like if Rebecca did not return his calls, she had better find another place to work," he said.
Allen's attorney, Mike Hawkins, questioned why LeCount was coming forward now to back up Collins' allegations.
"As a husband, I cannot believe any husband, if that had happened, would sit there and not do anything about it," he said.
When told that LeCount asked Allen for an apology, Hawkins said: "Nobody ever mentioned (LeCount and his daughter) before he came forward and went to the media."
Allen has said the affair lasted from December 1999 to August 2003 and was consensual. Collins said it did not end until last month and Allen pressured her to keep it going.
Collins and LeCount were married for nine months, divorcing July 29. The child LeCount referred to is not Collin's daughter.
Mezibov & Jenkins defended Dr. Jonathan Tobias, a deputy coroner in the Hamilton County Coroner's office, in the high-profile morgue photo case.
Attorney Christian Jenkins said LeCount and the firm have not decided whether to take legal action against Allen or Collins.
Jenkins added after the press conference that he does not think LeCount would benefit financially from a potential settlement between Allen and Collins.
Hamilton County Commissioners are calling Allen's latest lawsuit "outrageous".
Meanwhile, Hamilton County Prosecutor Allen is suing in common pleas court to get the county to cover any damages in case he happens to lose his court case with Rebecca Collins. Collins, who works for Allen, has accused him of sexual misconduct.
The commissioners voted not to pay Allen's legal costs. In addition, the commissioners are planning to hire an independent counsel to investigate the situation.
Allen's lawsuit "goes way beyond legal fees," said commissioner Todd Portune.
"Alleging the [sexual conduct with Collins] was within the scope of employment...is incredible," Portune said.
The common pleas lawsuit asks for the county to pay for Allen's legal fees and damages if he is found guilty.
"We felt compelled as a board to highlight the outrageous nature of these allegations, of this effort to hold the taxpayers of Hamilton County responsible for his conduct...and for any damages that arise out of it," said Portune.
