HOLLYWOOD, CA- Gone are the days when big budgets ruled the porn music landscape however in the case of Britney Rears 3, money seems to be no object.

Now days, music is usually an afterthought when it comes to making adult movies, with very little thought or effort going into determining what type of music will be in a movie.

"Most producers really don't give a shit about music and that's fine for them and often times not necessary for an all-sex movie, however we really put in a lot of effort because the music is crucial to our feature movie projects like Britney Rears and our upcoming J-Ho: Jenny on the Cock feature," stated Jeff Mullen who wrote and co-produced not only the movie, but all of the music for the heavy selling first three Britney Rears DVDs.

"Back in the 1980s when porn movies cost five times as much to make, a movie's production budget included a line item devoted solely to music. This was before the days of computer assisted recording which greatly reduced the cost involved in creating new music tracks. Today we have a system of library tracks that most of the studios have purchased rights to use for their productions," stated veteran director Roy Karch who shoots for companies such as Sex Z Pictures. "I listened to some of this Britney 3 music and it's really amazing. I had Jeff doing music for me back in the late 80s way before he got into the adult movie business," Karch continued.

"Today, it's not unusual to hear an instrumental track in a porn movie and also hear it during a car commercial on TV," Mullen continued.

"Most people share from the same purchased sound libraries," stated director Q. Roberts who is busy readying his Virtual Vivid Girl Sunny Leone DVD for Vivid Entertainment. "Most movies get made really fast these days and there's not a lot of time available to think about obtaining original music unless the project is really spectacular like Virtual Vivid Girl or a Britney Rears."

With Britney Rears 3, Mullen was active in writing and recording all of the original music tracks using live musicians that will make up a soundtrack that must span 3 decades. With a large portion of the movie taking place in 1974 and some in 2006, original disco and soul music as well as modern tracks were written and recorded giving the movie an authentic musical flavor.

"We talked about Curtis Mayfield and the Isley Brothers for real soul influences and also all of the great disco artists to give that dance appeal. I brought in the heavy guns to the studio and we had a blast recording these funky tracks all with live musicians." Rumored to have participated in the recording sessions are Freakjuice from the old school band Morris Day & the Time along Al Salas of the Brothers Johnson. Mullen played all of the keyboard parts during the sessions.

"With Britney traveling back in time to 1974 using a time machine purchased off of ebay, it was necessary that we wrote music that fits the time period and there's no way to go about getting the proper licenses for music of that era, or selecting songs from a library that truly sounds old school. It just doesn't happen, so we went into the studio and recorded from scratch with some great musicians who actually played on albums dating back to the 70s. How's that for an old school word: album? You don't hear that anymore" Mullen said.

Look for Britney Rears 3 to be nominated and standing a good chance to win for Best Music at the end of the year awards. "I'm really proud of this Britney Rears 3 soundtrack. It's going to take something really special to beat us this year and if somebody does it with original music, then good for them but I just don't see that happening this year. This is our year."
