WWW- Posted on The Insider: We first met sweet, giggly NATALIA McLENNAN, or Natalie, as some call her, last July, when a New York magazine cover story headlined "N.Y.'s No. 1 Escort Reveals All," chronicled the story of how this 25-year-old aspiring actress and dancer fell into a world of expensive gifts and money.
"I got to travel and do some really fun things," she says. "I got to go to California. It was nice to meet great people and have fun."
But on Sept. 29, Natalia was charged with money-laundering and prostitution. She was released on bail and today is back in court for a hearing on her case. Tonight, we have the latest!
Her fiancé and former boss, JASON ITZLER, 38, is currently still at Rikers prison facing charges of criminal possession of a controlled substance, money laundering and promoting prostitution. His arrest was part of a large effort by the NYPD and the D.A.'s office against New York's burgeoning Internet-based escort agencies.
Until last September, Natalia was free and clear and living in New York, where she was shooting wraparounds for a reality TV series about Jason's business by director RON SPERLING. Sperling shot "Inside New York Confidential" for about a year and has lots of footage of the now-defunct escort agency that he is hoping to turn into a series.
But, as Sperling's documentary footage shows, there were hints of danger on the horizon.
"I sometimes get a little bit nervous that it's out of control," Natalia says on the tapes. "You know, it's sort of like this machine that's going and getting bigger and bigger. I'm kind of concerned that it's getting a little bit out of control."
