Oh, Ben Stiller Was Supposed to be Joaquin Phoenix- Now We get It

At least no one I was watching the Oscars with Sunday night had a clue what Ben Stiller was doing on the stage. But this explains it.

[MTVUK] Ben Stiller simply couldn’t resist to opportunity to parody actor/ rapper Joaquin Phoenix at the Oscars last night in LA.

Presenting the Award for Best Cinematography alongside the beautiful Natalie Portman, Stiller appeared dressed as Joaquin and imitating his recent actions on the David Letterman show, or lack thereof. Ben donned a fake beard and glasses, whilst looking around the room in disarray and muttering.

He also went on to explain that big winner Slumdog Millionaire had been shot entirely on a mobile phone. The joke follows Mr Phoenix’s choice to supposedly change roles from acclaimed actor to rapper. A decision that has shocked as many as it’s amused. Many believe it to be an ongoing hoax.
