from www.celebs.gather.com - Ashton Kutcher isn't letting the Village Voice get away with profiting from sex-trafficking. He's been embroiled in a battle with the paper ever since they published an article claiming Kutcher and wife Demi Moore inflated numbers while campaigning against sex-trafficking, according to RadarOnline. Does the Voice have a bit of a guilty conscience?
The actor has been using his Twitter feed (with over seven million followers!) to target those who advertise in the paper, such as this Tweet, "Hey @disney @dominos are you aware that you are advertising on a site that owns and operates a digital brothel?" Hit 'em where it hurts, Ashton! Take away the advertising, and the paper won't have any choice but to fold and slink away into oblivion.
In the Village Voice paper and on their webpage is a section for classified ads, including "escort services, body rubs and adult jobs." Ashton Kutcher says this allows pimps and traffickers to force girls to post their services in the paper, which means the Village Voice is making money from those ads.
Ashton Kutcher kicked off a campaign called "Real Men Don't Buy Girls" in the couple's crusade against sex-trafficking, and the article titled "Real Men Get Their Facts Straight" was then published by the paper. The Voice would have been better off keeping their mouth shut.
