New Bern, North Carolina- Even though his case took over a year and a half to be resolved, it looks like Pure Bliss owner Greg Sakas will have to wait some more.
After two police raids and a bunch of specious charges leveled against him, Sakas had his day in court earlier this week when Judge Peter Mack said the city of New Bern showed insufficient evidence against Sakas, specifically on a preponderance and controlled substance charges.
During those police raids, cops came into Sakas store and confiscated adult materials that included movies, magazines and adult toys. Sakas is now trying to get that stuff back and the cops are going homina, homina.
Sakas was supposed to pick up his inventory Thursday but was told that the police needed another week. Sakas asked the woman he talked to why is that.
"She said I've got to find everything and put all of it together," says Sakas. "What in the hell does that mean? I didn't push her on it."
The suspicions is that the police may have been having home demonstrations at Sakas' expense.
Sakas now wants to sue New Bern for a $1M in court costs and attorneys fees.
"We had a verbal agreement and they broke it," says Sakas who tells me the cops have been putting a tail on him.
"You think that'll ever change?" wonders Sakas. "We want major damages. I feel that being handcuffed, and subject to false arrest, everything that's happened, we deserve every bit of it. I think they know they got a darn major headache on their hands. I told you from the start I wouldn't back down. I don't think they believed it."
