Kansas- A Kansas teacher was arrested and accused of having sex with a 16 year old student earlier this month. Garden City Police arrested the 40 year old woman. They say the teacher had sex with the male student in her home numerous times in December. The teacher accused is Nadine Nunnelee. Officers were investigating an unrelated matter when they were told about the alleged relationship.
Nunnelee was arrested at the high school, although officials say it was not in front of students. She is suspended with pay pending results of the investigation. Nunnelle was in her 2nd year of teaching at the high school. She taught English and workd with Freshman students through a program called "School Within A School." Police don't believe any other students are involved. Nunnelee now faces five counts of unlawful sexual relations. She is in jail awaiting formal charges.
