South Dakota- He was accused of taking partially nude photos of two 15 year old Aberdeen girls and secretly taping them in a dressing room at his Aberdeen photography studio. Now 39 year old Roger Delzer has been indicted by a Brown County grand jury, and the number of victims has grown from two to five. Delzer has been indicted on six counts of child pornography, and five counts of sexually exploiting minors.
Roger Delzer is now accused of sexually exploiting five teenage girls at RAD Designs photography studio. They range in ages, with the youngest victim being 13 years old.
Brown County Deputy States Attorney Lori Ehlers says, "The second way that we alleged in the indictment is that he caused them to engage in or be involved in activities such as nudity, which again is harmful or detrimental to a minor."
The girls knowingly and unknowingly were photographed both in photos and videotape by Delzer. This comes after he allegedly convinced them to come back to his photography studio so he could help them with their modeling careers.
Ehlers says, "The first pictures were just pretty normal clothed modeling and then it just kind of deteriorated or escalated, if you want to say that, from there."
After the initial pictures the girls went back a second and possibly a third time.
Ehlers, "As far as the photos and evidence that we have the state would be alleging at this point that there's a combination. Some of it involves nudity, some of it involves partial nudity and some involves what we would consider prohibited sexual act."
The two misdemeanor counts of taking someone's picture without consent have been dropped for the more serious accusations Delzer has been indicted on.
Ehlers says, "We're still kind of in the middle of the investigation so what we had right now is what we had really solid right now."
Just because these indictments have come down doesn't mean the investigation is over. Authorities are still following up on hundreds of tips and looking through the large amounts of evidence they have. Delzer is still out on bond and no future court date has been set.
