Chicago- from www.wbbm780.com- One of the city’s most prominent defense attorneys is now representing one of the city’s most prominent DUI suspects, the Sun-Times is reporting.
Playboy centerfold Crystal McCahill -- Miss May 2009 -- was represented in Traffic Court on Friday morning by Michael Monico. The powerhouse attorney has represented Edward “Fast Eddie” Vrdolyak and former governor Rod Blagojevich fund-raiser Chris Kelly -- and once represented the man convicted of extortion in the Tylenol poisonings in the Chicago area in the early 1980s.
McCahill -- dressed all in black, with black sunglasses -- showed up at the Daley Center courtroom by herself and teamed up with Monico inside.
Monico filed a motion to supress evidence in McCahill’s Jan. 7 DUI arrest. The case was then continued to July 10.
Before the hearing, McCahill politely refused to talk about her case-- but asked reporters if they were coming to her Playboy autograph-signing event at Club Crescendo nightclub later Friday.
The 5-foot-7 brunette, who has also appeared on the E! Playboy reality show "The Girls Next Door," had a blood-alcohol level of more than twice the legal limit when she drove a 2005 Volkswagen Passat through a red light at Chicago and Wood, according to a Chicago Police report.
