Strip-club manager guilty of funneling campaign cash

DAYTONA BEACH – A strip-club manager was found guilty today of funneling campaign contributions through other people to two Daytona Beach City Commission candidates during the 2005 election.

Lollipops Gentleman’s Club manager Sean L. Bishop, 41, showed no reaction as the verdict was read. He was convicted of both a felony count and a misdemeanor count of violating the state’s campaign-finance laws. He faces up to five years in prison at his sentencing later this month.

In the meantime, Chief Circuit Judge J. David Walsh allowed Bishop to remain free on $5,000 bail. Bishop, and his attorney, did not comment.
