COVINGTON, LA) — A woman has been sentenced to five years in prison after pleading guilty to having sex with a 16-year-old girl in a case in which the woman’s son turned her in.

Judy Denman, 35, of the Mandeville area, admitted this week to one count of simple rape. She confessed to police that she had sex with the girl twice when the girl visited her home with a male friend.

“There was apparently a ménage a trois going on,” said Denman’s attorney, Buddy Spell. “Her son came in the room and took photographic evidence.”

Spell said the son “was upset with his mother’s behavior.”

The girl’s friend, Jason D’ Herete, 21, of Bush pleaded guilty July 1 to indecent behavior with a juvenile and was put on probation for two years.

State District Judge Larry Green, who could have sentenced Denman to as many as 25 years in prison, ordered that her term be served without parole.
